The fifth, final, and largest Solstice-class cruise ship, Celebrity Reflection, will impress even the pickiest of travelers with its onboard activities, amenities, and spaces, including a total of 22 bars, restaurants, and lounges. In addition to The Retreat (reserved exclusively for suite guests) and The Solarium (adults-only), Reflection — along with all Solstice-class ships — boasts the Lawn Club. The adults-only Persian Garden area at the spa is a favorite amongst wellness enthusiasts. The second Edge-class ship, Celebrity Apex, made its grand debut in 2020.

Explore the islands that inspired Darwin’s theory of evolution all while immersed in unique luxury. The Penthouse Suite lets you explore the islands that inspired Darwin’s theory of evolution while you’re immersed in luxury. Recount the day’s adventure with new friends over a refreshing drink and live music. You could consider the X as a symbol of what makes Celebrity Cruises different, although that’s just how a logo works really. But the X has since been restored, and for now remains a fixture across the cruise line.

Symbol of Luxury and Distinction
It’s also worth noting that these suite guests also enjoy access to the SEA Thermal Suite and a dedicated spa concierge. Don’t miss the adults-only Solarium, the Rooftop Garden, the aforementioned Eden, or the Magic Carpet, which offers the best views at sea. Our luxury cruise ships are filled with entertainment for all ages and preferences.

Celebrity Cruises' owner Royal Caribbean acquired Sun Bay 1, a small luxury vessel, built in 2001, and launched it in June 2004. In an innovative move, Celebrity's Xpedition sub-brand, created a new strata of up-market, premium-priced cruises and shore excursions offering travelers unusual cruise experiences in exotic destinations. Celebrity ships have elegant, simplistic decor, with lots of expensive, diverse artwork. The interiors do not challenge your senses the same way that some ships do.

While Celebrity operates relatively big ships, it has eschewed the "amusement park arms race" that has been taking place between many of the lines operating big, resort-like ships. In all, the Edge Class spas offer more than 120 different treatments, including acupuncture and salt stone therapy. Every Celebrity ship also has a casino and spas are big on Celebrity ships. Celebrity's newest ship, Celebrity Beyond, has its very own Daniel Boulud restaurant called Le Voyage. Unlike Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC Cruises and Norwegian, Celebrity doesn't load up the top of its ships with sprawling waterparks, go-kart tracks, laser tag courses and other flashy, family-focused diversions.

Smart Casual means you look comfortable yet tasteful in a dress, skirt, long pants, or jeans with a stylish top or button-down. Celebrity offers a wide range of cruises all over the Caribbean, from three-night getaways to 12-night voyages. Relax and rejuvenate in The Bahamas and CocoCay, or over a week visiting Mexico and Grand Cayman, or San Juan, the British Virgin Islands, and St. Kitts. On our longer Caribbean itineraries, we visit the Southern Caribbean, Central America, and South America, crossing the Panama Canal. With a host of off-the-beaten-path islands, our Southern and Eastern Caribbean sailings deliver ample time for exploring. Highlights include Antigua, Barbados, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, St. Thomas and St. Kitts.

Our sailing also had several other performances in the main theater, including a comedian and a musical act. During the Nassau port day and our day at sea, we spent most of our time on the pool deck and in the adult-only Solarium. While these areas were all busy every day, there were plenty of chairs and lots of room in the pools whenever we looked. Boarding the Celebrity Summit was one of the most seamless boarding experiences that I’ve had. While we arrived a few minutes early, we faced almost no lines and were on board in record time.
Eventually, the abovementioned rollouts will make the Edge Class the new core of the Celebrity fleet. For now, though, that title falls to the line's five-ship Solstice Class series. If you take a Celebrity cruise now, the odds are you'll be on one of these ships. Celebrity Cruises is the cool kid among the seven big cruise lines that account for the majority of cruises taken by North Americans. Apart from a couple of Canadian ex-pats, we were the only Britons on the inaugural cruise and, apart from the Latino family group the vast majority of our fellow passengers were cheerful, eco-oriented, middle-class Americans.
In addition to Oceanview and the main dining room, we also booked two excellent specialty dinners - the Tuscan Grill and Qsine (Le Petit Chef). I’d especially recommend Qsine because the food was delicious and the Le Petit Chef experience is very unique. Our Captain’s Club has six membership tiers that range from our first (Preview) to our highest (Zenith). On each cruise, you’ll earn points depending on your stateroom category and the number of nights on board. The more points you earn, the higher your tier status and the greater your perks and rewards during each sailing.

Found only on Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex, these are standard size balcony cabins with outward-facing walls that are almost entirely made of glass. Located at the very top front of the Edge Class vessels, above the bridge (meaning you'll have a better view than the captain in these rooms), the Iconic Suites offer breathtaking views through floor-to-ceiling panoramic glass windows. Master bathrooms are true stunners with massive whirlpool tubs, marble-lined showers and two sink areas. They include two so-called Iconic Suites on each of the line's new Edge Class ships that measure more than 2,500 square feet, including outdoor balcony space. For the coming winter, 10 of the line's 12 main ships are scheduled to sail in the Caribbean.
Operating relatively big but not giant vessels, the Miami-based brand is known for some of the most stylish and cutting-edge ships in the cruise business. It's a line that is all about high-end design, innovative features (just wait until you read about the "magic carpet") and on-trend restaurants that are aimed at sophisticates, not a party crowd. The ships' main dining rooms have either two fixed seatings or open seating for dinner and open seating at breakfast and lunch. The ships also have innovative, alternative, extra-fee restaurants that provide a unique opportunity to enjoy fine dining. The cruise fare for a Celebrity cruise covers dining in several complimentary venues, including the Main Dining Room, Oceanview Cafe buffet restaurant, Spa Cafe, Mast Grill (on most ships) and Seaside Grill.
The line says women should feel comfortable wearing a cocktail dress, or a skirt, pants or designer jeans with an elegant top. For men, evening chic nights could mean pants or designer jeans with a dress shirt, button-down shirt or sweater. Sometimes they're halfway down the side of the ship or near the waterline.
At the core of the brand are 12 relatively big ships that can be bunched into just three groups, or "classes," as they are known in cruise industry lingo. With relatively inclusive fares for some sailings at Celebrity starting under $100 per person, per day, there's a good argument to be made that the line is one of cruising's great values. However, it's the line you take if you want a taste of the all-inclusive and upscale experience of a luxury line without paying $1,000 per person, per day.
It also offers a place to relax or grab a quick bite during the day in a garden-like setting with stunning views of the ocean. Every Celebrity vessel has one and sometimes up to four main restaurants where meals are included in the fare, and these dining rooms are at the heart of the dining experience on Celebrity ships. Many passengers have all or most of their dinners in one of these main restaurants.
